Fir & Spruce Diffuser Blend

Fir & Spruce Diffuser Blend

We recently took a road trip (practicing social distancing and wearing masks) and drove through the mountains in northern Idaho on the way home. The smell was absolutely intoxicating. It was a warm evening, the windows were down, and it was as if you were putting your nose right into a conifer. It was enjoyed by all of us, including our two kids, who couldn't stop saying how wonderful it smelled. Of course, I had the thought that I wanted to bottle up that amazing aroma. While that's not entirely possible, this recipe comes pretty close! I hope you'll try it and find a little relaxation the next time you turn your diffuser on.

2 drops black spruce (Pinea mariana)
2 drops pine scots (Pinus sylvestris)
1 drop balsam fir (Abies balsamea)

Conifer oils are definitely some of my favorites. Pineaceae (pine family) essential oils are woody and earthy. They are cleansing and expansive oils that are great to utilize in times of mental or emotional fatigue (like during a quarantine!). While I suggest you get yourself into a forest to breathe in some fresh air, this blend is a nice substitute when that's not an option. Enjoy!

Essential Oil Diffuser Blends for Stress Support

Essential Oil Diffuser Blends for Stress Support
